Every great recipe starts with a strong foundation. For Chan Guan & Sons Trading, that foundation was laid decades ago by our founder, Mr. Tan Chan Guan.

What began as a traditional neighborhood grocery shop was built on simple, timeless values: hard work, honest pricing, and a deep commitment to the community. Mr. Tan didn’t just sell goods; he built relationships, ensuring every customer who walked through his doors left with exactly what they needed.

Tradition Meets Transformation

As the torch passed to the next generation, the "Sons" saw an opportunity to honor their father’s legacy while embracing a new passion. We recognized that baking is more than just a hobby—it is an art form that requires precision and the highest quality materials.

With a clear vision in mind, we undertook a complete renovation of the original grocery space, transforming the familiar corner shop into a modern Bakery Ingredients House. While the shelves changed from general sundries to premium flours, specialty chocolates, and artisan butters, the heart of the business remained exactly the same.
